Visit the Hart Sparks page. Downtown Hart hosts a good old fashioned Independence Day celebration with a community gathering full of fun and music around Hart Lake on July 2 each year. This year we offered games and activities for all ages, including face painting, four-square, gaga pit, hula hooping, corn hole, disc golf, hop scotch and more!
Visit the Hart Lakefest page. New for 2019, we will be adding a Youth Fishing Derby to the lineup of fun activities planned for Lakefest. We are also pleased to have Paddlesport Warehouse of Scottville joining us to offer demo's of their kayaks during this event.
Visit the Memorial Day 5k page. The 2019 5K races took place Memorial Day morning in downtown Hart.The race is named to memorialize race organizer Rich Tompkins, who left an indelible mark on the event. Runners, hand cyclists, and walkers lined up in downtown Hart to step off on a 1, 2 or 3.1 mile trek through the streets of Hart, with a course that includes a trip through the Hart Public School Campus, and a jaunt on the Hart Montague bike trail. The race ends with an enjoyable downhill finish on State Street to Hart Commons.
Visit the Music on the Commons page. Our Music on the Commons Summer Concert Series brings a variety of musical talent to perform at the Hart Commons complex. From rock to folk to jazz, we hope you'll find our free Thursday evening concerts a reason to visit downtown Hart. Enjoy a meal, some family time, and of course ice cream. If the spirit moves you put on your dancing shoes!
Visit the Hart Winterfest page. Hart’s Winterfest weekend brings both residents and visitors to downtown Hart for a variety of enjoyable activities. The annual Broomball Tournament is looked forward to as teams play to defend the “Golden Broom” trophy. The tradition of running or walking the “State Street Mile” is a chance to travel on foot the roadway to the heart of Hart. The downtown eateries welcome guests to warm up with their best soup recipes in the “Soup’r Bowl” soup cook off.
