We are pleased to announce that the Downtown Hart Farmers will again accept food benefits SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks, WIC Project Fresh and Senior Market FRESH. This has been made possible thanks to the work of AmeriCorps VISTA member Rachel Kindinger.
We look forward to providing locally grown, fresh healthy food choices to the residents and visitors in the area every other Thursday afternoon beginning June 6. This program and event is a win-win-win, with local farmers benefiting with a local market for them to sell their products, the availability of healthy choices for the community, and for downtown to see increased activity and foot traffic.
At the Downtown Hart Farmers Market we also welcome makers of handcrafted items to be vendors. We value the artisan community and invite applications for those with crafted items who would like to gain exposure and explore the market potential in Hart.
We will again enjoy the live music of local musical groups and other features and events to accompany the market atmosphere, such as guest chefs, a foodie crawl, health and history, and the scarecrow contest.
If you would like to apply to be a vendor at the Downtown Hart Farmers Market, find the rules and registration attached on this page!
